Case Polaris product tour: search, understand and organize legal research1 min 37 s · no audio

Read what the video shows

A 1 minute 37 second silent product tour of Case Polaris, with captions on screen and demonstration data. It shows asking a legal question in the research workspace, with suggested topics such as environmental compliance and business disputes; refining a search by jurisdiction, court, case ID, citation, decision date range and docket number; a structured answer to a question about a guarantee under Saskatchewan farm security legislation, shown in paragraph or list view with its sources listed; related decisions with a similarity score, and options to view, read or search within a case; a full case view with the parties, case summary, relief and sentence, legal issues and findings, laws cited, reference cases and expert analysis; session history to continue earlier research; and the case document library for uploading and organizing case files. It ends on the line Case Polaris: search, understand and organize legal research.

The business

Canadian legal professionals who research case law and statutes every day, from solo practitioners to firm research teams.

The problem

  • Relevant authorities are hard to find across a very large collection, and decisions are long to read.
  • AI summaries are useless to a lawyer unless every answer stays connected to the source.

How we solved it

  1. 01

Retrieval-augmented search and chat over more than 1.5 million legal documents, combining keyword search, vector retrieval and structured filters for judge, jurisdiction, court level and counsel.

  2. 02

Case summarization, document upload and analysis, follow-up questions and source-linked results.

  3. 03

Subscription billing through Stripe and background processing with RabbitMQ workers.

How they use it to grow
