Solutions
Data Function engineered Case Polaris from the ground up to solve the core challenges of legal research. The backbone of the platform is a sophisticated tech stack that includes Django for a robust and scalable backend, with a MySQL database for structured data and a specialized Pinecone vector database for lightning-fast, semantic searches.
We implemented a cutting-edge RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipeline to combine the power of large language models with a curated database of over 1.5 million legal documents. This allows users to not only search by traditional metadata (judge, jurisdiction, etc.) but also to pose complex, natural language questions and receive accurate, contextually relevant answers and summaries. The front-end, built with NextJS, provides a seamless and intuitive user experience. We also integrated Stripe to handle secure subscription payments, creating a complete, end-to-end commercial product.
